I never really thought of Darius Rucker as a country artist... maybe Burger King was ahead of the curve. (See the commercials he was in awhile back.)

Regardless Darius is a pretty phenomenal country guy. I fell in love with this song after the 1st listen. It's weird because it's not anything real special, just very catchy and has an awesome chorus. It hooked me straight up.

Even though some of the lyrics are silly, they still make me smile and I like a guy who doesn't take everything too seriously. Worth a listen for sure!

I discovered this song a few months ago and have since begun an obsession of sorts with Josh Ritter's music. This song nearly brings me to tears as his lyrics are so overwhelmingly descriptive.

"The Curse" is an imaginative love story that draws you in. I highly recommend listening to this song with your eyes closed. Really focus on the words and the dynamics of the song. I dare you not to be moved or at the very least interested. :)

The musical arrangement reminds me of a circus or side show event. I adore the use of horns in this arrangement as well.
