The Moody Blues– “New Horizons”

This song is just a GREAT song. It has passion, it is exquisitely written, and it has mystery… It is one of those songs that you just do not know what it was REALLY written about. You can assume love and maybe some tragedy, but they really left this open for the listener to interpret.
The guitar solo 2 minutes and 38 seconds into the song sounds like a desperate crying. This adds so much to the general feel and momentum of the track. The Moody Blues have a way of taking you emotionally to so many different places in their musical arrangements.
New Horizons is one of those songs you can just cry and fall apart to or make mad passionate love to. Amazing.
